Key Responsibilities

- Lead and direct a team of inspection personnel.
- Attend planning meetings and provide workflow direction.
- Train team members in interpreting engineering drawings for inspection.
- Verify subcontract operations as required by the Works Order (WO).
- Identify and record non-conformances.
- Generate PPQP and FAI reports.
- Maintain gauge calibration.

Skills and Experience Required

- Expertise in Inspection : Highly competent and experienced in gauge and CMM inspection, with the ability to programme CMMs.
- Decision-Making : Capable of making informed team leader decisions to support production.
- Experience : Prior experience in production inspection within a machine shop environment is essential, ideally gained in aerospace and/or nuclear sectors.

Qualifications

- Apprentice trained to a minimum of City and Guilds qualifications.
- Skilled as a Machine Shop Inspector.

Additional Skills

- Keen eye for detail.
- Ability to perform within time limits and in a critical environment.
- Logical and methodical approach to tasks.

Role Requirements

- Perform any other reasonable tasks as required by the company.
- Conform to and enforce all Health & Safety legislation and company safety standards.
- Comply with required security standards and company procedures.
- Maintain company housekeeping standards.

Key Performance Indicators

- On-time Delivery (OTD) for in-process and final inspections as defined on the Works Order (WO).
