Your field of play

The E-commerce Trading Manager will play a critical role in managing and optimising Henri-Lloyd’s e-commerce operations alongside the Head of E-commerce. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, advanced Excel skills, and experience with Shopify. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a ‘can do’ attitude and a hands-on approach.

  • Responsible for hitting the e-commerce sales budget and implementing a trading plan to drive online sales and profitability. Monitor and analyse website performance and conversion rates to identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage daily operations of the Shopify store, ensuring accurate and optimised product listings, and effective site merchandising to enhance customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team for promotional activities, product launches, and CRM planning; work with third-party partners to implement website enhancements and maximise sales through performance marketing. Analyse sales data using advanced Excel skills, generate comprehensive performance reports, and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels by managing inventory updates and coordinating with the supply chain and warehouse teams for timely order fulfilment.
  • Ensure a seamless customer journey from browsing to post-purchase by addressing inquiries and issues promptly, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and design teams for cohesive and elevated brand representation, demonstrating a strong eye for detail and influencing decision-making through effective communication of e-commerce performance insights.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices; identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

Your story
To be successful in this position you bring:

  • Proven experience in an e-commerce trading or similar role, preferably within the apparel or retail industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving online sales growth.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with Shopify and e-commerce platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making at all levels.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and a hands-on approach in a dynamic, start-up environment.
