London, United Kingdom 2019 Full time

We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Senior Performance Marketing Executive with proactive and innovative ideas to join DK’s global Online Marketplace team.

The Company:
Our mission is to move the world forward (one book at a time). It sounds quite grand, but we believe the work we do, in its own small way, creates a positive future for the world. Knowledge is one of life’s biggest adventures. The more you know, the more exciting life gets. We're here to change perspectives, open doors, and fire up fascinations. Every book and every experience we create is an invitation to an exciting new adventure. If you want to be part of this, keep reading

The Team:
The Online Marketplace team is at the forefront of driving online sales across the globe and remains a strategic growth pillar for DK. This centralised team collaborates with regional dedicated Account Managers, Inventory, and Marketing teams across core territories, including the US, UK, and Germany. It operates alongside the centralised Data & Analytics team, which supports the development of relevant data solutions to grow, test, and learn.

We continuously strive to evolve our operating methods to ensure we can keep gaining e-commerce space on Amazon and beyond. Making data-driven decisions, understanding where we can grow market share even more effectively, and how we can introduce new portfolios are just some of the opportunities we’re looking into - if you’re motivated by this challenge, then come and join us

The Role:
You will be an integral part of our Online Marketplace team, helping DK optimally position our books online to drive visibility and conversion to accelerate sales growth in online channels. You will be responsible for onboarding, analysing, and managing some of our advertising campaigns for strategic growth portfolios.

Playing a key role in implementing our growth strategy, you will have expert knowledge in Amazon Advertising, with the ability to create, maintain and report back learnings on campaigns. You will be an active participant in strategically planning and executing paid media campaigns with the aim of accelerating our growth online, and will be able to communicate and work closely with other teams, including our SEO, Sales and Marketing team in different territories.

An ideal candidate will have proven experience analysing and reporting on PPC campaigns and will bring a test-and-learn attitude. You will have a holistic knowledge of e-commerce marketplace optimisation levers and experience with liaising with clients and project management, preferably with experience working on Amazon, and will continue to maintain and expand your expertise as new features, opportunities, and training become available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and be the go-to for any Amazon performance marketing support within DK including hands-on management of our campaigns
  • Manage, analyse and optimise online advertising campaigns across accounts
  • Drive growth within our portfolio of books through paid search activities, including launching books into new markets
  • Analysing data and key metrics for ongoing optimisation of Amazon campaigns and support with relevant reporting across Amazon accounts and can talk confidently of their effectiveness to other stakeholders
  • Working in tandem with other members of the Online Marketplace team, and in particular with the SEO team, aligning on specific title or category opportunities and ensuring SEO and paid activities are optimally placed together
  • Coordinate activities with other teams across the globe such as Sales and Marketing teams in particular for seasonal events to ensure alignment and ensure global cooperation in book marketing
  • Track and measure impact of different activities and derive data driven insights and decisions and communicate findings effectively
  • Support and later lead experimentation projects to evolve best practices, and actively participate in our test and learn culture
  • Comfortable in working with our 3rd party and internal data tools, especially relevant to campaign management, performance analysis and reporting. Over time becoming a subject matter expert in these.
  • Support in developing process and best practice documentation and keep these up to date

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Amazon marketplace optimisation across levers (paid and organic)
  • Good understanding of PPC levers and ads optimisation rules and metrics (CVR, CPC, ACOS, ROAS) on campaign effectiveness
  • Expanding analytical skills and measurement approaches
  • Leading multiple projects within a work stream or portfolio of books
  • Stakeholder management and ability to translate requirements into tasks
  • Ideal but not essential knowledge of optimisation tools such as Pacvue, Helium 10 and Datahawk.

If this sounds like your next role, we want to hear from you. Please apply with your CV and cover letter by 12th August 2024.

We have a range of benefits to reflect our commitment to our people, some of which are:

  • 25 days paid holiday entitlement in year one, plus bank holidays
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Volunteering policy and charity matching
  • Employee assistance programme
  • 60% discount on company books
  • Cycle to work scheme and discounted gym membership
  • Flex fridays (1pm Finish*)
  • Shopping discounts
  • Up to 30 days remote working from abroad

And we plant a tree for every new employee to our business

DK is committed to building a diverse workforce that reflects the varied communities that read our books across the world. We encourage applications from all individuals, regardless of age, religion, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality or social background. DK is proud to announce that we have adopted The Halo Code.
