Hays Legal is exclusively instructed with an in-house IP & commercial lawyer opportunity. This is an exceptional opportunity to work within a high-profile Yorkshire based organisation on cutting edge matters. You will be involved in the negotiation, drafting and preparation of legal documentation relating to a variety of strategic initiatives, the commercialisation of IP & industry engagement.
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will:
- Negotiate, draft & review a range of legal matters relating to IP and commercial relationships.
- Provide legal advice & support to ensure effective and timely conclusion of contracts to facilitate relationships with key commercial partners.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders on legal matters relating to multi-million institutional-level research programmes.
- Input to resolve any commercial disputes & potential conflicts of interest arising from the organisation's activities.
- Advising upon existing and new legislation that will impact upon the organisation's work.
- Provide advice to internal committees as appropriate

This is a fabulous opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated lawyer with a can-do attitude. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with various key stakeholders at all levels in the organisation, the ability to think logically, work to deadlines and be flexible in your approach.
