Job Opportunity: In-house IP & Commercial Lawyer

Hays Legal is exclusively instructed to find an exceptional in-house IP & commercial lawyer to join a high-profile Yorkshire-based organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate, draft, and review legal documentation for strategic initiatives, commercialisation of IP, and industry engagement.
  • Provide legal advice and support to ensure effective and timely conclusion of contracts with key commercial partners.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders on legal matters related to multi-million institutional-level research programmes.
  • Input to resolve commercial disputes and potential conflicts of interest arising from the organisation's activities.
  • Advising on existing and new legislation impacting the organisation's work.
  • Provide advice to internal committees as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with various stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to think logically, work to deadlines, and be flexible in approach.
  • UK experience required.
