Job Title: In-house IP Lawyer

Hays Legal is exclusively instructed with an in-house IP & commercial lawyer opportunity. This is an exceptional chance to work within a high-profile Yorkshire-based organisation on cutting-edge matters.

You will be involved in the negotiation, drafting, and preparation of legal documentation relating to various strategic initiatives, the commercialisation of IP & industry engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate, draft, and review a range of legal matters relating to IP and commercial relationships.
  • Provide legal advice and support to ensure effective and timely conclusion of contracts to facilitate relationships with key commercial partners.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders on legal matters relating to multi-million institutional-level research programmes.
  • Input to resolve any commercial disputes and potential conflicts of interest arising from the organisation's activities.
  • Advising upon existing and new legislation that will impact upon the organisation's work.
  • Provide advice to internal committees as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with various key stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
  • The ability to think logically, work to deadlines, and be flexible in your approach.
