Highbury Recruitment have an oportunity for a Goods In / Stores person who may also be required to be involved in the Assembley side of the business. 

 

About the role: Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the primary tasks of the role will include the unpacking of all goods, receipting through the ERP system, locating on the relevant shelves and subsequent Contract kit-issue & distribution of these goods to the assembly lines.

Accuracy of batch control is essential when moving stock through the relevant areas and must always be maintained. In between, some practical/assembly knowledge would be advantageous to assist the workshop. Comprising a wide variety of tasks, the main areas of responsibilities will include:

• To check and inspect goods to drawings and specifications as received against delivery notes and required specifications indicated on the purchase order.

• Raising paperwork, computer data entry and filing • Book-in, label and locate goods, always maintaining batch control.

• Notify the purchasing department of any short shipments or damaged goods. • Notify quality department of any goods requiring further inspection and place in the Quarantine section, awaiting further instruction.

• Accurate maintenance of the stock control system. Ensure all stock transactions/movements are recorded on the ERP system (Efacs).

• Contract kit-issue & distribution

• Physical movement of stock from the Goods In area to the factory and/or packing and putting away stock

• Shelf replenishment • Fork-Truck licence desirable but not imperative, willingness to train in this area is required.

• Aside to the above, some practical/assembly skills would be advantageous but not imperative.

About you: You must possess a strong work ethic and a reliable, flexible approach. You will also be organised with a high attention to detail. Applicants must possess excellent written & verbal communication skills, be PC literate and ideally have previous experience in a similar environment within the automotive industry.
