Our client is seeking a Temporary Purchase Ledger Assist to cover a period of absence within their team this is initially for 4 weeks but could be possible longer. The successful candidate will have previous experience of purchase ledger transactional accounting and will need to be immediately available.

What you can expect:
Monday to Thursday 9.00 am - 5.00 pm (30 mins lunch) / Fri 9.00am - 4.30pm (30 mins lunch) - 37 hour working week£14.00 per hour20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays (pro-rata)
Duties and

responsibilities:

Booking in goods and matching invoices to delivery notes, raise and resolve any queries with the purchasing officeAbility to extract data and run reports as requiredSupport/update cash flow forecastsPost invoices onto Sage 200Supplier statement reconciliations & query resolutionSetting up new suppliersRaise pre-payment schedulePreparation of payment runs (BACS)Reconciliation of expenses and credit cards and analysis of spendBank reconciliationsAllocation of payments onto systemUpdating customer and billing information on the system
Skills and experience required:
Minimum of 2 years of previous experience within purchase ledgerGood working knowledge of Sage 50 or Sage 200 requiredNumerate with a good eye for detailExcellent communication skills both written and verbalAbility to work effectively within a team environment and support other areas when neededGood working knowledge of Excel is essential
