    About Our Client

    Page Executive is delighted to be partnering with ARDEX and Building Adhesives Ltd in their search for an outstanding UK Commercial Director to join their UK businesses. The scope of the role will cover teams across both legal entities.

For more than 60 years, ARDEX has been a quality leader for the flooring and tiling industries, as well as the brand of choice for installers & distributors making it no coincidence that ARDEX is regarded as a premium partner of the construction industry.

    This unique and exciting UK Commercial Director opportunity will be responsible for leading and developing a large commercial team who supply into multiple channels and sectors throughout the construction industry.

    We are looking for a candidate who has proven sales and commercial leadership capabilities in a premium brand environment who is product and service innovation led, as well as experienced in driving commercial excellence within a large sales organisation managing multiple sales channels.

    Job Description

    · Provide a clear strategic vision and leadership to the UK commercial function comprising Sales, Marketing, Specification, Training, Internal Sales and Customer Services functions.

    · Lead the sales organisation who supply into multiple sales channels comprising project specification, builders merchants, buying groups, specialist independents and retail DIY, buying groups, contractors and installers.

    · Ensure that robust commercial sales plans are in place across the key sectors by customer, brand and product to maximise profits and share of business within each customer.

    · Lead the product development process to maximise the innovation gap over competitors whilst minimising the time required from concept to launch.

    · Understand market conditions and industry trends to inform commercial and product strategy.

    · Lead and manage effective cross functional relationships with key internal stakeholders in order to implement targeted sales strategies.

    · Strengthen and develop relationships with stakeholders at existing and target customers.

    · Lead product and category diversification with new products and/or routes to markets.

    · Ensure that commercial excellence is achieved and measured through key performance indicators.

    The Successful Applicant

    · An accomplished leader ideally from within construction products or related industries with a strong ability to motivate teams and navigate change within ever evolving market conditions.

    · Demonstrable experience as a Sales/Commercial Director, developing customer-focused, differentiated and achievable product / service offerings.

    · Strong leadership skills with demonstrable experience of leading, training and creating commercial excellence and best practice within large teams in a sales and commercial multi-channel business to business environment.

    · Entrepreneurial and commercial instincts and looks for new ways to drive success

    · Excellent presentation skills and gravitas to undertake senior customer engagements and relationship management.

    · Open leadership style with strong values, integrity, ability and ambition to progress a long-term career within ARDEX.

    · Travel, as necessary and ideally within commuting distance of the ARDEX UK sites in Stoke-on-Trent or Haverhill.
