ACS International Schools is currently seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to join our Estates and Facilities Team.
This role will provide strategic and operational leadership, and effective management of all Facilities operations at the ACS Egham and Hillingdon campus. This role is responsible for leading the Facilities team, and all support partners to deliver effective Facilities operations in line with the ACS Strategic Plan, annual budgets, and Service Level Agreements.
The Senior Facilities Manager, will be driven, and committed to delivering excellent customer focused facilities services, meeting the current and future needs of the organisation. They will plan, co-ordinate, and lead the development and management of the Campus Facilities in accordance with all organisational objectives, and the ACS Strategic Plan, as directed by the Head of Estates and Facilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Extensive facilities management experience at a senior level in a customer focused environment, with experience of working in schools a distinct advantage.Experience of managing a diverse estate - Listed buildings through to modern new buildExcellent communication skills, able to represent ACS to external parties as well as interface with internal partners, staff, consultants, and contractors.Leadership – especially persuasive skills, capable of uniting many different areas, people and priorities without direct line responsibility.Financial management of significant operational and capitalManagement of extensive grounds, and sportsProject management experience of developments in excess of £1m, with the ability to deliver multiple tasks to tight deadlines. A strong understanding of Prince 2 methodology (or equivalent) is an advantage.Contractor management experience, including the process of organising building works, arranging tenders, and ensuring parity, documenting works and controlling works on site.Business acumen – able to operate with a commercialGood knowledge and understanding of hard services, fabric maintenance and M&E.NEBOSH, RICS or MIWFM or other building related training.Experience in the implementation and management of CAFM/CAMSExperience of tendering and managing outsourced Planned Preventative MaintenanceEnergy & sustainability management focused, with experience of managing sustainabilityExperience in delivering continuous improvement in people andStrong people management skills – able to unite many different areas.In meeting these requirements, the post holder will ensure that they lead the development of the Facilities team, including service partners, to ensure that throughout the team, there is adequate knowledge, understanding, ability and desire to consistently deliver the Facilities objectives, and ensure that the changing needs of the campus are consistently met.
