Apprenticeship Onboarding Team Lead - The Role:

You will be the driving force behind our apprenticeship applications and recruitment processes. Your goal will be to provide a timely and accurate enrolment experience for new applicants and employers. Collaborating with our Business Development, Admissions, and curriculum teams, you will provide comprehensive support to our apprenticeship administration team and all apprenticeship applicants.

Apprenticeship Onboarding Team Lead - Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Management: Handle all aspects of apprentice applications, from initial assessments and interviews to matching candidates with employer vacancies and tracking them to enrolment.
  • Business Development Liaison: Collaborate with the business development team to source and place candidates into employer vacancies.
  • Support Activities: Organise and deliver support sessions for applicants, including CV preparation, interview skills, and job search workshops.
  • Vacancy Promotion: Ensure vacancies are advertised across online platforms, job boards, and social media.
  • Applicant Guidance: Offer ongoing advice and guidance to apprenticeship applicants, ensuring a positive experience with continuous communication.
  • Employer Coordination: Maintain close communication with employers regarding the candidate matching process and arrange employer interviews.
  • Assessment Coordination: Conduct group and individual initial assessments for apprenticeship applicants, supporting curriculum colleagues in specific skill-based assessments.
  • Employer Engagement: Work with work-experience coordinators and curriculum areas to unify employer engagement activities and cross-sell apprenticeships.
  • Applicant Sourcing: Highlight potential apprenticeship applicants to the business development team for promotion to employers.
  • Event Participation: Attend college open events to promote apprenticeships and provide guidance to prospective applicants.
  • CRM Management: Utilise and update the customer relationship management system (CRMS) to plan and record activities.
  • Reporting: Produce reports and data as required by the Director of Business Development.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality management procedures.

Apprenticeship Onboarding Team Lead - You:

To apply, you will:

  • hold a Level 2 (GCSE A-C) qualification in English and Maths or a willingness to work toward them.
  • hold a Level 3 Qualification or above in a relevant field or a willingness to work towards one.
  • be able to demonstrate evidence of record keeping, data inputting, the ability to work calmly under pressure and be highly organised.
