The post

The Faculty wishes to recruit a 0.4FTE Graduate Research Assistant to support the work of Psychology’s Athena Swan Self-Assessment Team. This is available immediately or from 1st August 2024 until 27 June 2025. The successful applicant will support the Head of Department, Director of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, the Department manager, and colleagues in the Athena Swan Self-Assessment Team (SAT) to deliver the department’s next Athena Swan submission.

The post will include project management responsibilities for the Athena Swan application, including:

  • gathering and tracking data and evidence to support the application
  • analysing data and presenting these in written and graphical form
  • co-ordinating and implementing Athena Swan activities across the department and beyond
  • monitoring progress of action plans and collecting evidence of the impact of these actions
  • supporting the delivery of new initiatives
  • supporting the writing of the Athena Swan application

About you

The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.

Applicants will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.
