A role you will love

This role is a full-time site-based role within the Facilities team. This team manages the property, facilities and health & safety for all our colleagues, contractors, third party suppliers and clients on UCI premises. The role covers the full spectrum of facilities services and provision and will support the business, department, and Facilities Manager with the management of the property portfolio under the department's control.

The role will be the focal point for 3rd party contractor coordination of hard and soft FM services and associated health & safety, compliance, and legislative management within the team. You will be fully committed within the team in ensuring the day-to-day operations and business as usual activities of the properties and ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard. This successful candidate will also be a point of contact in the Facilities Manager's absence or if the Facilities Manager is located remotely.

You will carry out minor project management activities, from time to time, as assigned by the reporting Facilities Manager and you will complete tasks carried out via the Health and Safety Handbook and liaise with and support the Facility Manager in the deployment of the Global Health and Safety Policy.

Lastly, the role will assist in the collation and reporting of data for important programs such as ESG, Health and Safety and other programs as assigned by the Facility Manager.

Primary site contact for coordination. Liaison & coordination with business occupiers. Manage & liaise with contractors, consultants, Landlords. Manage day-to-day building issues. Deliver projects as assigned. Conduct inspections, risk assessments. Coordinate H&S tasks. Manage evac procedures, policies, training. Procure facilities resources & services. Review & update business continuity requirements. Other general coordination tasks.
What will you bring to the role?

Experience in writing and amending policies and procedures. Ability to write detailed proposals for maintenance and works orders. Experience of managing health and safety to local legislative compliance. Experience in managing suppliers/service providers. Procurement experience in setting up supplier and managing purchase orders Member of relevant industry association/s Relevant recognizable Health & Safety qualification would be desired
