The difference you'll make.
- Developing new architecture patterns for the bank's container environments (Kubernetes/Amazon EKS).
- Collaborating with teams across Santander UK and Santander Group.
- Ensuring a deep understanding of UK and Group requirements, as well as UK regulatory standards.
- Staying up to date with changes and technology updates.
What you'll bring.
- Extensive experience in Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
- Background in infrastructure and/or solutions architecture.
- Solid understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies.
- Familiarity with modern application development and design, ideally microservice deployments in container platforms.
It would also be nice for you to have.
- Azure AKS experience.
- Expertise in microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as firewalls and load balancers.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other public cloud providers.
- Experience with multi-region architectures.
What else you need to know.
We will be conducting all interviews via telephone or videoconference where possible.
This is a permanent role to be based at our Milton Keynes office with some remote working. Time spent working from the Milton Keynes office will be 3 per week.

- Competitive salary
- Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
- We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don't contribute yourself. We'll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
- 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
