At Saint Gobain PAM we are looking for a customer focused individual to join us as a Customer Service Coordinator, in order to provide support to our team in our new offices in Bilborough NG8 6PX
Saint-Gobain PAM is the premier supplier of ductile iron and cast-iron products to the UK's key utilities, telecoms, highways, civil engineering, construction and housing companies.
This role will be fully office based whilst training in the role. Once you are fully competent in the role a hybrid model of work will then come into effect.
What you will be doing:
Our sites are busy places, with lots going on inside and out, and whilst the exact duties may vary here is a taster of the role.
Providing up to date information about customer orders, delivery leadtimes, and despatch information.
Coordinating aftersales queries (complaints, failed deliveries & invoice queries) and to ensure swift resolution of these.
Processing and managing a range of different types of orders
Proactively managing the customer order book to meet our company despatch forecasts and our customers' needs.
Liaising with production planners and logistics teams to ensure that leadtimes are as close as possible to customer requirements and that all delivery requirements are understood and well communicated between all parties.
Liaising with credit control functions to ensure that any potential credit issues are understood.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a customer-focused and proactive person who enjoys working as part of a team, whilst also being able to manage your own workload. We are looking for the right person to fit in with our Saint-Gobain culture, but we know this needs to be right for you too.
- Previous experience in a customer facing role (in person or by telephone) would be preferable but is not essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office and SAP is essential as is the use of a CRM system is also preferrable but can be taught to the right person
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including listening and questioning.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet changing priorities and deadlines in an unpredictable and reactive environment.
- A level of resilience is required in order to be able to deal with unhappy customers in a professional manner, remaining patience and empathetic.
- Negotiation skills and the ability to resolve conflict
- A natural desire to help people and provide a first class customer experience at all times.
- An enthusiastic approach to work and a positive attitude.
- Driven to seek improvements in the way that we work, to suggest new ideas and to influence colleagues to help implement new initiatives
