The Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre is looking for a business-oriented project officer to support project management and delivery strategies across AMIC.

You will work collaboratively with industry, technology providers, national technology centres, and academia to manage research, design and innovation activities that deliver partnerships and projects focused on advanced manufacturing activities. You will assist in securing funding and co-ordinate AMIC’s wider relationships and engagements.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Honours degree or equivalent and substantial recent and relevant experience working within an industrial or university-based research environment OR minimum HND in a related discipline with extensive recent and relevant experience working within an industrial or university-based research environment.
  • Proven recent and relevant experience of successfully managing relationships and project management in a collaborative context.
  • Evidence of engaging and managing events/ workshops involving members of the business community.
  • An understanding of the processes involved in compiling grant/contract bids.

This post will be appointed to for 3 years in the first instance. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
