We are seeking a highly motivated individual looking for development opportunities to join our Cyber Team as a Reinsurance Broker. As an aspiring Reinsurance Broker, you will have the chance to gain valuable experience and grow your skills in the dynamic field of cyber insurance. You will work closely with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders to negotiate and place reinsurance contracts that effectively mitigate cyber risks. What can you expect?

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including insurance companies, brokers, and other key stakeholders in the cyber insurance market.

  • Identify and analyse cyber risks and develop reinsurance solutions to effectively manage and transfer these risks.

  • Collaborate with underwriters to assess and evaluate cyber insurance policies and determine appropriate reinsurance strategies.

  • Negotiate reinsurance terms and conditions with reinsurers to ensure optimal coverage and pricing.

We will count on you to:

  • Prepare and present reinsurance proposals to clients, highlighting the benefits and value of the proposed solutions.

  • Monitor market trends and developments in the cyber insurance industry to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on emerging risks.

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on cyber risk management and reinsurance strategies.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as claims and finance, to ensure smooth and efficient reinsurance operations.

  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to cyber insurance and reinsurance.

What you need to have: 

  • Data analysis and statistical skills using Excel, R, SQL or Python

  • Ability to create charts, tables and graphs to present data in an effective format.

  • Proven experience as a Reinsurance Broker, preferably with a focus on cyber insurance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and evaluate cyber risks.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and reinsurers.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Professional certifications such as CII or Actuarial Qualifications are a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as economics, insurance, risk management, or finance.

  • In-depth knowledge of the cyber insurance market, including key players, products, and emerging trends.

  • Confident in understanding risk models and how they can be leveraged to structure (re)insurance risk transfer solutions.

  • Ability to identify market insights, trends and then use that knowledge to advise clients on their underwriting and portfolio management strategies.

  • Strong understanding of (re)insurance companies financial and accounts.
