UEA Catering Services is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and experienced Chef de Partie to join our large and busy catering department within the University. From bulk production, restaurant style service, to elegant fine dining events, this position gives you the opportunity to show your culinary flair.

Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs, you will be required to prepare and serve food for our outlets, events and hospitality. Included in your duties you will be managing stock, following recipes for each dish to ensure consistency, minimising waste and maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment which meets high standards.

Is this role for me? 

You will be a hands-on in food production, maintaining the standards our customers have come to expect. You’ll also:

  • Order stock, accepting deliveries and stock rotation.
  • Have a desire to input menu suggestions.
  • Enjoy working and maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen.
  • Have a calm approach to getting the job done.
  • Have a desire to support the wider team in all areas of the business.

Equivalent chef experience or NVQ level 2 in a catering discipline or equivalent qualification is vital. If you meet all the essential requirements of the person specification, it would be great to hear from you

The interview will include a trade test for you to show off your culinary skills.
