Igloo are looking to add to their team of compound drivers in Sheerness and have an excellent opportunity for individuals to work within a busy compound based at our client’s site who are one of the UK’s leading automotive companies who have operations across the country as well as in other parts of the World. The Role: Compound Drivers will be responsible for vehicle movements within large compounds. Movements will include moving vehicles into and out of the workshops as well as bay parking within the compound. Vehicles will range from small family cars through to high performance and high value cars. Compound Drivers will be expected to drive different transmissions, such as, manuals, automatics, semi-automatics and electric vehicles. Compound Drivers will need to carry out an inspection of the vehicle prior to moving them to ensure any damage is reported. Compound Drivers will need to be happy to work out in the compound in all weathers and will need to wear car friendly workwear and safety boots. What kind of person we are looking for?: You must be comfortable with driving different makes, models, and sizes of vehicles. Vehicles will range from manual to automatic gear boxes so, experience with this is a must. You must have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 6 points for minor offences. Previous, professional driving experience is desirable.
