What you'll be doing:

  • Leading and managing a team of logisticians in a challenging and fast paced environment, ensuring correct standards are met within the PP&L framework
  • Lead interactions with internal and external supply chain, managing supply chain performance and ensuring availability of sufficient material stock levels at all times in line with the production plan
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting to demonstrate control and performance
  • Working with various systems (LM, SAPCAM, POWER BI, TABLEAU)
  • Reviewing risks and opportunities around inventory and enablement dependencies
  • Supporting and deputising in management reviews as required
  • Implementing the principles of operational excellence within your area (e.g. Lean Logistics, Customer Service excellence)
  • Team PDR target setting and performance management
  • Managing sickness and absence of team members in line with company policy
  • Developing the team, and promoting learning and development within the team
  • Implementing company safety, health, and environment (SHE)

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Proven ability in leading, managing and developing teams
  • Experience in Stakeholder management at all levels of the business
  • Working experience of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Infor LN/SAP or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, motivate and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation. This includes taking pride in your work and lead the tasks that are assigned to your team to see them through to completion, with an analytical approach. This will showcase confidence and the capability to work independently and lead team problem solving for the development of short- and long-term solutions regarding day to day problems
  • High level of business integrity and confidentiality
  • High level of resilience and strategic thinking
  • Proficient in the use of IT (particularly proficient in the use of MS Excel & Power Point)

Desirable

  • An understanding of Production Control and Logistics concepts, systems and relevant business processes. This includes experience in a manufacturing/procurement/supply chain environment
  • Hold professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/Supply Chain body, or be willing to work towards it e.g. APICS CPIM, CILT
