ROLE - Design Engineer

TERM - Permanent


They’re looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in Warwickshire on a permanent basis.


The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position
Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
Previous experience with Joiner or Metalwork or Plastics
Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc.
Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations
Proficient using MS Office
The Design Engineer role will involve:
Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers
Producing 3D designs using SolidWorks CAD soft and 2D designs with AutoCAD
Being involved in final assembly of products
Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
Updating 3D models and drawings
Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
