Learning and Development
The post holder will identify organisational learning and development needs in association with members of staff, Councillors and Corporate and Service requirements, and recommend and organise solutions to improve performance, quality, customer service and long term organisational progress. This includes responsibility for the learning and development budget.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
To lead on the development of policies and programmes of work within the Council which address equality and discrimination.
The post holder will also support the HR and Payments team with the creation and implementation of HR policies and liaison with employees to improve engagement and wellbeing as a priority.
Be able to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point).
Desirable: CIPD part qualified or relevant post graduate qualification.
The post holder will have a genuine passion to develop people and organisations, a good knowledge of project and budget management and an understanding of ED&I legislation. The post holder should have strong written communication skills and experience of writing high quality reports and policies.
The post holder will have experience of researching and developing plans to provide solutions to problems (for example a training plan to improve performance) and ideally have experience of working in a local authority and of managing learning and development within an organisation.
