My client is a well-established charity based in Gravesend, dedicated to making a positive impact in the local community. Now looking to hire an experienced Finance Manager to join their supportive team.

As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the finance team to ensure the accurate and timely management of our financial resources. You will play a critical role in providing insightful financial analysis to inform business decisions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining a strong financial control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective financial planning and management
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including annual reports and statutory accounts
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to inform business decisions
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, bankers, and other stakeholders
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements:

  • Currently studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a finance management role, preferably in a charity or non-profit sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Proficient in financial software packages (e.g. Sage, Xero, Excel)
