Head of Finance

Full time role based in the office in Gravesend

We are seeking a Head of Finance to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the Finance Team and will be working closely with the Board. You will be responsible for Financial Leadership both reporting and operation, financial planning and analysis and overall risk management.

You will be responsible for

  • Developing and executing financial strategies aligned with the group’s long-term goals and growth plans
  • Providing strong leadership to the Finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, reporting requirements, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team and board of directors, providing financial expertise and guidance on strategic initiatives
  • Providing guidance on the cash forecasts, funding plans and general economic outlook so as to support strategic thinking on business growth and profitability
  • Overseeing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk assessment.
  • Presenting financial insights and recommendations to the management committee, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinating internal and external audits, liaising with auditors and regulators to address any findings or concerns.
  • Monitoring financial risk and proposing solutions to mitigate certain risks, including by making use of insurance, hedging or other risk mitigation techniques

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in overseeing financial operations and controls
  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in financial software

  • Extremely accurate, possess an analytical ethos, excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Have a growth mindset and be able to improve and develop our processes as we grow
  • Be able to think on your feet and take ownership of your work
  • Desire to leverage former experience to help shape our operations

Full time role based in the office in Gravesend

Salary range £60,000 to £80,000
