Partnerships Director – Aston Villa Women FC About Aston Villa Women FC: Aston Villa Women FC is a proud and ambitious club committed to driving growth both on and off the pitch. Competing in the Barclays Women’s Super League following promotion from the Championship in 2019–20, the club has continued to build impressive momentum, from record season ticket sales and international signings, to the recruitment of talented backroom staff. The Impact You’ll Make: As Partnerships Director, you will lead the club’s commercial partnership strategy - shaping, securing, and delivering distinctive, forward-thinking partnerships that extend beyond traditional sponsorships. You’ll identify and engage brands that share our vision and values, creating meaningful partnerships that drive both revenue and impact for the club and its partners. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the partnership strategy in line with Aston Villa Women’s commercial vision and growth ambitions. Identify new categories and brands that align with the club’s values, energy, and ambition. Create compelling, insight-led partnership propositions that bring AVWFC’s brand and purpose to life. Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to develop partnership propositions and commercial packages that ensure Aston Villa’s commercial inventory is utilised effectively, consistently, and provides maximum revenue return. Own the full lifecycle of partnership development – from initial research and outreach, to pitching, negotiation, and contract execution. Proactively build and manage a pipeline of high-value partnership opportunities across diverse sectors and markets. Work with internal teams (marketing, media, community, and football) to design integrated partnership solutions. Implement efficient sales processes and performance systems to support growth and reporting. Use insights and market intelligence to shape strategy, ensuring all partnerships deliver measurable value and innovation. Stay ahead of trends in women’s sport, entertainment, and brand marketing to keep the club at the forefront of the industry. Foster a creative, high-performing culture within the commercial team, while collaborating with senior leaders across the club. Your Skills and Experience: Proven track record of delivering successful commercial partnerships, ideally within sport, entertainment, or a relevant brand-driven sector. Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with experience managing pipelines, contracts, and complex deals. A confident and credible relationship builder, skilled at engaging and influencing senior stakeholders. Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solutions-driven approach and a passion for innovation. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and organisational abilities with attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a start-up mentality. A genuine enthusiasm for women’s sport and using football as a platform for positive change.
