Our client who are a multinational company that provides geotechnical, survey, subsea, and geoscience services to various industries worldwide are looking for an Offshore Personnel Development Advisor to join their growing team.

Job Purpose:

As an Offshore Personnel Development Advisor specialising in Data Processing and Inspection, you will play a crucial role in managing the performance and career development of our offshore personnel. This position offers a hybrid/remote working model, allowing you to be based onshore while also undertaking site, port, and offshore visits as required.

Responsibilities:

In this role, your responsibilities will include: Overseeing the performance and career development of offshore personnel in the field of Data Processing and Inspection. Inducting and developing offshore personnel to ensure a smooth transition into field operations with the necessary competencies. Leading the formation and execution of personal mentoring, coaching, and training plans for offshore personnel. Collaborating with the Offshore Personnel Management Team and MAI Client Deliverables. Promoting a positive and inclusive culture among field staff. Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and understanding of offshore operations in your field of expertise. Supporting the onboarding of new employees and providing ongoing guidance. Meeting with field colleagues through site visits, offshore trips, Townhall meetings, and regional workshops. Ensuring timely completion of reporting and assessments. Promoting participation and completion of competency systems. Providing support and advice on personnel training and development. Reviewing external training courses and providers. Maintaining and aligning Training Matrices with career development and company strategy. Staying updated on technological developments and incorporating them into future training. Identifying and implementing career development opportunities for colleagues. Championing HSSEQ across the business streams and participating in relevant committees. Providing technical support during the interview process.

Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:

To excel in this role, candidates should have the following qualifications and attributes:

Essential: Experience and qualifications in the survey sector with recognised industry certifications. Proficiency in offshore operations, including data processing and inspection. Current and valid certification for offshore field working. Strong communication skills. Knowledge and understanding of HSSEQ principles. Desirable: HSSEQ qualification.
