Data Strategy Manager - Maritime Tracking Location: London (2 days in the office)
As a Data Strategy Manager in Maritime Tracking, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive ship-tracking data strategy aligned with our clients overall business and group strategy. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our clients data capabilities over the next 3-5 years, encompassing a variety of data sources including AIS (Automatic Identification System), RF, satellite, and other imaging technologies, complemented by human validation processes. Your expertise will help maintain our clients competitive edge by continuously improving data quality and expanding our tracking capabilities.

Develop a Ship-Tracking Data Strategy : Design and implement a strategic plan for ship-tracking data, incorporating improvements and integrating into the broader business strategy for the next 3-5 years.

Enhancement of Data Sources : Manage projects that include both terrestrial and satellite AIS, non-AIS sources like RF and imaging technologies, and methodologies for human validation.

Business Case Development: Prepare and present business cases for data enhancement projects to senior leadership, emphasizing data quality and market differentiation.

Project Management Collaboration: Collaborate with the Programme Management team to develop project plans and lead matrix teams in project execution.

Industry Engagement: Stay informed about industry advancements in maritime tracking by attending conferences, webinars, and other relevant events.

Data Quality Monitoring: Regularly assess the quality of existing tracking data and identify opportunities for improvement; present findings and suggestions to Senior Management.

Supplier Relationship Management: Oversee key supplier relationships, ensuring all agreements are current, fit for purpose, and legally compliant in coordination with the legal team.

Provide expert assistance during customer interactions and support stakeholders in understanding data capabilities.

Collaboration with Product Management: Work closely with Product Management to enhance understanding of data capabilities and support in product development.
Contribute subject matter expertise during client tender processes to ensure accurate representation of our data capabilities.
