Job Title: Trainee Freight Agent Location: Hours: Full-time

We are seeking a reliable and organised Trainee Freight Agent to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, handling, and dispatching client freight using road, air, and sea shipping methods. You will play a key role in ensuring all freight is processed accurately and reaches its destination safely and on time.
Process and manage all freight accurately using Optima WMS
Provide daily freight reports to clients
Raise purchase orders using Microsoft Dynamics AX
Safely load and unload vehicles, racking, and containers
Computer literate with strong attention to detail
Manual handling competence
Experience operating pivot-steer and counterbalance forklifts
Full UK driving licence
Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality:
Work in partnership with the HSE department to ensure continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance
Report any incidents or breaches of policy to your line manager
Fully support the client’s Stop the Job policy and intervene proactively when unsafe acts or conditions are observed
