This organisation is renowned for its innovative approach to data, analytics, and consultancy within the energy and chemicals sectors. As they embark on a significant greenfield data transformation project, they seek a talented professional to spearhead their data pipeline development, leveraging advanced technologies such as Snowflake. This role offers a unique chance to shape a new data ecosystem from scratch, working within a supportive environment that values expertise, innovation, and collaboration. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation processes utilizing modern tools and frameworks Implement and optimise data workflows and ETL procedures within Snowflake Create robust data models to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business data requirements and deliver effective solutions Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance Drive data discovery processes to catalogue valuable assets across multiple business units Support the deployment of machine learning models and interpret results to inform business decisions Support and manage a small team of Data Engineers Candidate Profile: strong background in building enterprise data solutions Extensive hands-on experience with Python and data transformation techniques Expertise in Snowflake cloud data platform and ETL process optimisation Familiarity with machine learning tools such as TensorFlow or scikit-learn Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Experience managing end-to-end data projects within a fast-paced environment As this role will evolve into a Head of Data you MUST have managed and developed a team as you will be leading and mentoring a team This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of a greenfield project, with the ability to influence the organisation’s data architecture from the ground up.
