**THE ROLE**
We are currently recruiting for two Senior Landscape Architects for one of our favourite clients
**OUR CLIENT**
Is a leading consultancy that have provided professional commercial landscape design and environmental assessment services for over 40 years.
Their design background gives them a creative yet practical approach to the whole development process from inception through to completion.
They have an outstanding level of expertise and standing within the industry and are large enough to resource professional support for major environmental infrastructure project - yet also small and agile enough to provide a personal, flexible service totheir clients.
Their Landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA) expertise provides the basis for determining the potential effects of a project or projects on the landscape resource and the visual receptors within it. They have undertaken landscape and visual impactassessments for a wide range of developments.
Their in-house team of chartered landscape architects provide expert advice to developers on the potential landscape and visual effects of a project. Their team has built up significant experience in all industry sectors, particularly renewables, and canrepresent clients as expert witness when required.

- Feasibility studies
- Route or site options appraisal
- Screening and scoping
- Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment
- Zone of theoretical visibility
- Artists Impressions
- Visualisations and report illustrations
- Photomontages
- Mitigation advice
- Public exhibitions
- Expert Witness
- Environmental compliance
**THEIR CLIENT’S AND PROJECTS**
In terms of high-profile projects, they have gained consent for many large renewable and infrastructure projects including roads and trams and have won many industry awards.
In the energy sector, projects have included:
1500MW Coire Glas Pumped Storage scheme
- 150MW Sloy Pumping Station
- 100MW Glendoe Hydro scheme
- Viking Wind Farm on Shetland (103 turbines 155m to tip)
- Stronelairg Wind Farm (83 turbines 135m to tip)
They are currently working on a range of grid connection projects including Skye 132kV overhead line (OHL) reinforcement from Fort Augustus through highly sensitive designated sites as well as a range of new substations, cable routes and other OHL’s.

There is a discretionary annual bonus scheme that is based on your individual performance and the success of the company as a whole. Over the last few years this has ranged between 5-10% of annual salary.

They pay for all professional development courses and professional membership fees etc. For EIA this relates to IEMA membership. Professional development is somethingthat they take very seriously and actively encourage as it is to the benefit of you and the company and definitely contributes to peoples moral, confidence and performance.
Communication is key to the development of individuals within the company and the directors are always on hand for questions, guidance and advice. They have monthly company meetings to look at overall performance of the business, to share progress on projects,best practice, set objectives and priorities and contribute ideas.
At the start and end of each week there is a “whole office” teams meeting to set the key objectives and focus for the week on each project.
They work in teams so there are constant opportunities to engage with other members of staff throughout the day as well as their close-knit team of specialist subconsultants.
