Job Title: Cultural Events & Partnerships Manager
Location: Head Office, Clerkenwell, London and roaming between our buildings and partners partners to capture content
30, with flexible hours to cover key events which may be on evenings or weekends.
Contract Type: Permanent Full-time (40 hour week including 1 hour lunch)
Annual Leave: 31 days (including bank holidays)
Founded in 2020, Mason & Fifth set out to imagine a new way of living - to design beautiful buildings with everything you need to stay for a weekend or a lifetime. Our first site in London’s Bermondsey is made up of 28 private studios and initially took residents in who were looking to stay for three months or more. In 2023, we introduced short stays, allowing people to book for as little as three nights in six of our ‘short stay’ studios. This was a proof of concept for our flexible living model and in April 2024 we launched our second building in Primrose Hill as a boutique guesthouse, with 61 studios available to stay for a night or a lifetime. With more new sites on the horizon, the team is expanding to meet the needs of our exciting and growing business.
We are now looking for a creative, passionate Cultural Events & Partnerships Manager to join our team to lead on our cultural events programme and partnership strategy.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience curating and executing a cultural events programme and has a list of creative contacts at their fingertips. They will have an eye for working with the most interesting of partners, developing and co-creating original concepts and understanding the broader ecosystem that events and partnerships play into, when building an engaging brand. They will be passionate about culture, out and about, knowing what’s what, and know how to keep things fun, working well with people and getting the best out of them.
The main responsibilities of the Cultural Events & Partnerships Manager include:
Devising and curating a calendar of events at each of our open properties that elevates the experience for residents and guests and gives them opportunities to socialise together.
Ensuring a rich, diverse mix of event types that reflect our brand and showcase culturally relevant and engaging activations across a broad spectrum of themes.
Working with them to confirm all event details, including run of show, budgets, content capture and shared promotion.
Spotting opportunities for deeper partnerships from interiors to retail to menu specials to pop-ups and whatever you can dream of - creatively pushing the bar on who we can work with and how to build our brand story and community in innovative new ways.
Event Management & Promotion
Managing all the administrative details from contracts to contact sheets to invoicing, to ensure a smooth and professional running of all our events.
Managing all event listings for internal and external events, managing ticket allocation and promotion to ensure full houses each and every time.
Working with the Brand Team on event names, copy, visual ID and event promotion.
Attending events and supporting the site Ops team in the delivery of the events to ensure the set-up is on point, executed perfectly and all partners and attendees are well looked after and happy.
Developing brand standards and SOPs for how repeat events should be executed.
Managing event budgets end-to-end.
Monthly reporting on events against core KPIs.
Launches & Parties
Developing launch party plans and VIP guest lists and invites.
Programming top-tier opening events to kick-off the opening of all new sites with a bang.
Help develop and nurture our nearest and dearest, with offers and discounts and invites to special events.
Work with the Brand Team to create digital comms to our VIP lists.
