AVA Energy are working with a leading OEM in the Power Generation space, in their search for a Sales Manager to join their team in the United Kingdom.
This role is an individual contributor position, focusing on Africa. The candidate must be comfortable with extensive travel in this region.

Job Summary

Responsible for the development of the Gas Turbine sales pipeline in Africa to achieve individual and company sales goals.
Develop and execute specific territory and opportunity plans and present the sales pipeline and forecast to executive management.
Work very closely with Commercial Operations, Engineering & Aftermarket teams, and Legal & Finance functions.
Strong diplomatic and negotiation skills and experience negotiating major commercial sales and service agreements with customers.
Proven ability to perform in high visibility, high growth environments.
Attend industry trade shows, prepare customer presentations, and proficiently demonstrate solutions to clients.
Ensure proper handoff and communication of secured orders to Projects Team.

Education/Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ proven success in sales and sales management in the Power Generation Industry.
Bachelor's Degree - Engineering preferable.
Deep experience and contacts in Power Generation markets, with prior experience in the African market desirable.
Expertise with new business development and account management.
Technical background and familiarity with Gas Turbines preferred
International experience is helpful. Multi-lingual also preferred, but not required.
