Job Description
Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit You will join an expanding team to support the development and delivery of work packages for our nuclear, marine, and O&G clients based around our Sunderland office. The role supports Hybrid working.
Your mission:
Leading project tasks : Manage and plan projects for a team of engineers while coordinating with project management facilities.
️ Producing engineering solutions : Deliver high-quality engineering solutions across a wide range of topics and activities.

Communicating progress : Provide feedback on technical development and project delivery to the Lead Engineer and Project Manager.

Mentoring : Offer technical guidance and support to team members, especially junior or graduate engineers.
⏱️ Managing time : Efficiently manage your time to meet agreed deadlines, target costs, and quality standards with minimal supervision.

Qualifications
~ Minimum 2:1 BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
~ Relevant senior engineering experience in sectors like offshore, renewables, nuclear, or other highly regulated industries.
~⚙️ Solid background in mechanical and structural engineering .
~ ️ Proficient with CAD software : Skilled in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and/or Catia.
~ Strong mathematical skills : Experienced with MathCAD software.
~ Skilled in producing technical reports : Expertise in creating design and substantiation reports, assembly procedures, etc.
~ Knowledge of manufacturing processes : Understanding of welding, machining, etc.
~ Experienced with the engineering design cycle from Concept to Manufacture.

Additional Information:
Familiar with European and Offshore standards : Experience with Eurocode 3 and DNV.
Master's degree is a plus .
️ Skilled in checking and approving engineering CAD assemblies and drawings .
Proficient in verifying engineering documentation : Manual calculations, reports, etc.
Excellent Finite Element Analysis skills : In-depth knowledge of ANSYS Workbench is desirable.
Experienced in non-linear and fatigue FEA : Familiar with DNV and Eurocodes.
