Internal Sales Negotiator

Join a well-established manufacturing business in Malton where you’ll play a key part in a high-performing and supportive Internal Sales team. This role suits someone confident on the phone, highly organised, and able to work at pace while delivering exceptional service to customers, architects, engineers, and main contractors. You’ll be central to keeping projects moving, supporting the External Sales team, and ensuring accurate tracking through Salesforce and internal systems. What you’ll be doing • Handling incoming enquiries from customers by phone and email, providing a professional and knowledgeable service • Building trusted relationships with architects, engineers and main contractors • Making outbound calls to gather project information, update the CRM and follow up quotations • Preparing, processing and checking quotations with accuracy and within deadlines • Negotiating and securing orders within agreed commercial parameters • Setting up projects and opportunities in Salesforce and forecasting accurately • Tracking live projects, following up activity and supporting the Area Sales team • Completing research to source information and support the sales pipeline • Processing orders and raising credit notes with accuracy and attention to detail • Providing support and holiday cover across the Internal Sales team • Operating in line with all site quality, compliance and health and safety standards What you’ll need • Experience in a fast paced, customer focused environment, ideally manufacturing or similar • Strong communication skills and a confident, professional telephone manner • CRM experience, ideally Salesforce or SAP, with accurate data input skills • Ability to multitask, stay organised and meet strict deadlines • High attention to detail with strong administration skills • Reliable, committed, calm under pressure and a true team player What’s on offer • £27,000 salary • Fully office-based, Monday to Thursday 8:15am – 16:40pm and Friday 8:15am - 15:55pm • Supportive team environment with recognition and development opportunities • A stable, successful business with strong values and long term careers
