Job Title: Account Executive Location: Office-based, Cambridge, UK

Our client is an innovator in mechanical testing equipment and solutions. They combine testing hardware with advanced software to create novel mechanical testing systems.
We are seeking a results-driven, experienced, and collaborative sales professional to manage all aspects of the sales process. Key responsibilities include prospecting, closing accounts, maximizing deal value, and working closely with the technical team to support product demonstrations and trials. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic start-up environment and contribute to the development of new sales processes and playbooks.
Rapidly and consistently close deals to meet sales targets.
Qualify and prioritize deals to optimize sales operations.
Collaborate with the technical team to support successful product demonstrations and industrial trials.
Refine and execute prospecting approaches, including creative follow-up with the outbound sales team.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the sales process with ideas, leadership, and execution.
Provide the wider team with reports on customer needs, problems, and opportunities to support marketing and new product development.
Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven sales track record.
Experience in selling or working with technical products (experience in materials science, mechanical testing, inspection, and/or engineering is advantageous).
Experience in the advanced manufacturing and/or testing marketplace is a major plus.
Strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
Compensation
Guaranteed base salary between £50-70k, depending on experience.
Exciting bonus scheme (15% of salary).
