United Kingdom Element Materials Technology Full time

Element has an opportunity for a Divisional Director within our Connected Technologies Business Unit to oversee various Connected Technologies sites across the UK and Europe. This position is responsible and accountable for all Element business results within their area of influence. This position reports to the Vice President for the Business Unit and is responsible for delivering and growing roughly $100m of business across approximately seven (7) laboratories in the UK and Europe.

This is a very senior role with full P/L responsibility and accountability for executing on customer delivery, leadership, operations, innovation, and strategy that will drive business growth and profitability in line with strategic goals. This position requires extensive experience in the Connected Technologies industry spanning accountability for acquisitions, operations, quality, strategic planning, financial management, customer relations, and high-level commercial contact development

Own the annual operational plan commitments including revenues, profit, productivity, quality, customer delivery, staffing, and other operational performance areas with a strong focus on accurate and timely forecasting
Role model a strong commercial partnership and demonstrate how that partnership and shared actions drive budgeted growth
Provide leadership to assigned teams and demonstrate strong, strategic partnerships with Safety and Health, Quality, Finance, Human Resources, Sales, and Operational Excellence teams
Drive continuous improvement with demonstrated results around an incident free and safe working environment for colleagues, high first-time right performance, and excellent internal and external audit performance
Attend and speak at industry and association meetings, identifying opportunities for lab colleagues to present papers, network, and share industry knowledge as thought leaders and trusted partners in the industry
Other duties as assigned to support the broader business and foster a collaborate team environment.

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Electrical Engineering, Master’s degree preferred
~15 + years of leadership experience within Connected Technologies
~ Extensive experience spanning accountability for acquisitions, operations, quality, strategic planning, financial management, customer relations, and high-level commercial contact development
~ Strong financial acumen and proven experience with budgeting and regular forecasting
~ A record of innovation and a continuous process improvement attitude
~ Strong consensus building skills, leads and supports change, takes appropriate chances
~ Achieves business results, by taking action, achieving quality and focusing on the future
~ A strong training focus that results in successfully developing and motivating people
~ values diversity
~ Experience in customer centric service businesses
~ Ability to travel up to 50%
