The position is an ambitious one that will help define the future for The Zone as we grow our impact and our team globally by identifying industries and geographies for client growth, designing our way of doing business development, and jumping on calls to tout the power of what we do to prospects. 

On the practical side, this position is entirely remote with a flexible work schedule (3 days a week) allowing you to work hard for us but have a life of balance outside of work.

Increase revenue by actively generating new leads and bringing new business opportunities to The Zone by effectively and passionately conveying the value of the leadership and culture work done by The Zone, and how it impacts clients' short and long-term business and people goals.

7–10 years of experience in Business Development, preferably at an agency or consultancy in the People/Culture space but flexible depending on experience and track record.

In collaboration with the Core Team, create and implement the vision, strategy and process for Business Development at The Zone. 
Keep in touch with Partners to help them win clients or transition Zone-won business to them in a fair and equitable manner.
Coach both The Zone Core Team and Partners in Business Development process, techniques and more to help them bring in more leads or business.
Create the playbook for all Business Development functions, processes, and material availability including creation of best-practices documentation and cross-referenced support materials (i.e. Be in contact with Partners to help track theirs and assist where needed.
Assume responsibility for the overall quality of Business Development processes, procedures, and methods.
Ensure the Business Development operational methods and procedures are applied to qualified incoming work.
Attend, help plan, and contribute to business development community events; Assess sales performance and provide feedback to Partners to help them improve their win rates for new work.

7+ years in a business development leadership role;
~ Ability to move seamlessly from high-level strategic planning to hands-on tasks;
~ Master of the art (proposals and points of views) and science (metrics, operating procedures, process) of Business Development;
~ Advanced understanding of the roles involved in the HR, People, Culture and Talent space;
~ Advanced knowledge of tools that monitor Business Development process and performance;
~ Contract: This is a permanent employment contract, with a 3-month probation period.

Hours: 3 days / week, with the hours spread across the week and with the flexibility of working across different time zones. This also means the flexibility to shape your working hours in a way that works for you and for us, ensuring the hours work with any extra work, personal advancement project, and/or caring responsibilities you might have.

85,000 pa FTE (£51,000 pa for 3-days per week) + Commission

This is a remote role that will require sporadic travel and in-person collaboration up to 20% of the time.
