Are you passionate about Safety, Health, and Environmental?
We are working with a leading plc on a new opportunity for a dedicated Group SHE Assurance Manager to develop and implement industry leading internal audit processes. Reporting to the Group Head of SHE, you'll provide critical assurance to the PLC Main Board around operational excellence and the upholding of exemplary SHE standards. You will have the freedom to develop and implement an internal audit process to ensure compliance with all SHE regulatory requirements. Your detailed knowledge of HSE legislation will inform the periodic review of SHE risks across the Group, addressing compliance deficiencies, changes and developments to ensure the highest standards are upheld. With strong communication skills, you will produce and deliver high-quality reports for the board, giving accurate and balanced accounts to all stakeholders and building confidence in the wider compliance of the plc. Additionally, you'll work collaboratively with business units to create improvement plans and support operational areas to address any weaknesses. Holding a NEBOSH certificate, your active role within the SHE Managers Forum will allow you to capture and implement SHE best practices, drawing upon your internal auditor training.
This role offers the chance to make a significant impact by ensuring safety and compliance across this thriving plc. You must be willing to travel across the UK regularly with the potential for this to reach some of the businesses overseas entities.
