I am recruiting for a Principal Workforce Systems Data Analyst to join an established team based in Colchester.
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality workforce information analysis, ensuring accurate and timely data is available for decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in workforce information analysis and a strong background in using e-workforce systems such as Access HR, ESR, OLM, EASY pay, Trac, and e-rostering.
Job Purpose:
- Manage and maintain workforce systems, ensuring effective use and data capabilities.
- Analyse and interpret complex, sensitive data, providing written reports and statistical presentations to various stakeholders.
- Act as the ESR/Systems subject matter expert, advising on system functionality and troubleshooting issues.
- Liaise with external bodies and suppliers to improve systems or service provision.
- Lead on the implementation of new functions in ESR and other e-workforce systems across the organisation.
- Provide in-depth analysis and insights for workforce planning, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the day-to-day issues related to workforce systems and develop team members to support end users.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in workforce information, business information systems, or data analysis.
- Extensive experience in Workforce Information Analysis and knowledge of HR systems.
- Advanced knowledge of NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) or similar Oracle-based systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including Pivot Tables and various functions.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to produce accurate workforce information and present complex data effectively.
- Business awareness of how workforce information impacts organisational decisions.
