The Company:

We are working with a full-service communications agency at the forefront of driving international development, policy impact, and behavioural change. Partnering with NGOs, foreign governments, and businesses, they tackle complex global challenges through innovative and strategic approaches.

The Role and Responsibilities:

As Head of Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping impactful campaigns and programs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading Cross-Functional Teams: Oversee a mixed-method research team delivering audience-focused insights and a strategy team driving program design, campaign planning, and behavioural change initiatives.
  • Driving Strategic Thinking: Apply behavioural science, human-centred design, and political economy analysis to inform campaigns and initiatives aimed at addressing global challenges.
  • Quality Assurance & Team Development: Ensure the highest standards across research and strategy outputs while mentoring teams to integrate qualitative, behavioural, and design principles.
  • Business Development & Proposals: Lead on proposal writing and business development, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and market opportunities.
  • Senior Management Leadership: Advise the senior management team on best practices and strategic innovation, contributing to the broader vision of the organisation.

Your Skills and Experience:

We are looking for a leader with:

  • A deep understanding of strategy and its application to global development and behavioural change.
  • At least 10 years of experience in research and strategy roles within a social impact or international development agency.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing behaviour change campaigns.
  • Experience working with government agencies, FCDOs, NGOs, or similar entities in international development contexts.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex challenges into actionable solutions.
