The Financial Partnerships team at Airwallex is dedicated to building and managing strategic relationships with key financial institutions and partners worldwide. We work to expand Airwallex’s network, enhance our product offerings, and drive mutual growth. By fostering strong collaborations, we ensure our customers have access to the best financial solutions and services. We are looking for a dynamic Senior Manager, Financial Partnerships, LPMs, to expand and strengthen Airwallex’s global partner ecosystem. In this role, you will drive the development of our Local Payment Methods (LPMs) infrastructure across EMEA, the US, and LATAM, while managing key strategic relationships with financial institutions and payment partners.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, creative problem-solver with deep experience in payments, financial services, and partnership management. You will have a proven track record working for an LPM or within a Payment Institution or PSP, building global financial partnerships, and driving strategy in fast-paced, high-growth environments. A strong understanding of LPMs, stakeholder management, and operational excellence is essential.
Define and lead the LPM partnership strategy for EMEA and the Americas to support Airwallex’s global growth.
Own and grow our most strategic partner relationships—serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring strong collaboration and commercial success.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new partners, including local payment methods, schemes, BNPL providers, digital wallets, and local bank transfer solutions as we expand into new markets.
7+ years of experience working with LPMs, BNPLs, PSPs, financial institutions, card schemes, or payment networks.
~ Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Commercial teams.
~ You are an exceptional communicator – you’re able to connect with people at all levels, both internally and externally, and communicate project expectations effectively.
~ You have strong negotiation skills – to navigate complex commercial discussions to ensure the best outcome for Airwallex.
~ Experience building a financial partnerships function in a new geography
