NRL are looking for a Piping Lead to work for one of our leading clients on a Nuclear Power Station based in Bridgwater. Your role would be to ensure the effective execution of piping erection and turnover to commissioning, optimize the use of allocated resources, and manage subcontractors effectively on all aspects of site piping erection. Job Duties: Execute the discipline works erection strategy and create detailed plans and schedules. Ensure material and tool availability, and liaise with Engineering on documentation. Maintain quality standards, manage subcontractors, and optimise personnel and resources. Investigate and address variances, non-conformances, and claims, coordinating with site management to minimize costs. Maintain records of progress, quality, as-built documentation, and turn-over packages for commissioning. Coordinate access and resolve technical issues with site management and engineering. Implement and ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures, and monitor environmental impacts. Maintain safe, clean work areas, approve timesheets, log relevant events, and submit construction reports. Conduct assessments and reviews of subordinate personnel.Education & Training: Mandatory University degree in mechanical engineering discipline (comparable with bachelor/master); Appropriate formal internal training in power plant construction and engineering; Appropriate training in leadership and management.Professional Experience: Mandatory Complete at least 2 full cycle of power plant construction projects of the discipline; Experience in site construction execution and managing of subcontractors; General knowledge of power plant systems; Thorough knowledge within the discipline; Commercial awareness.
