Job Description: Homeless Accommodation Officer at Gloucester City HomesGloucester City Homes (GCH) is an ambitious, dynamic housing association with strong community roots. We are focused on building homes and communities where people can thrive and delivering valued services to our customers.Responsibilities:
  • Managing day-to-day operations of temporary homeless properties
  • Working in partnership with Gloucester City Council housing options team
  • Conducting inspections of homeless accommodation
  • Providing support for fire safety compliance
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders for customer solutions
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable experience working with homeless and/or vulnerable people
  • Understanding of homeless issues, adult safeguarding, and risk assessment
  • Good knowledge of homelessness problems, services, and benefits
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • IT literacy for information processing
  • Current knowledge of Housing Law and enforcement actions
  • Understanding of homeless legislation and best practices
