Our client is currently seeking a Finance Team Supervisor to join their team on a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months. As the Finance Team Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Director and Management Accountant with general accounting procedures and associated administration. Due to the location of this particular site, public transport access is limited and therefore being a driver with your own transport will be necessary. There is free parking on site for those with their own means of transport. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Supervise the Sales and Purchase ledgers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with monthly management accounts, ensuring accruals and cut-offs are accurate.
  • Utilise Sage 50 Accounts for general bookkeeping.
  • Conduct management reporting and analysis, including P&L.
  • Carry out bank reconciliations and month/year-end reconciliations.
  • Data cleanse and preparation for implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Generate invoices and payment schedules.
  • Monitor and manage accounting software, including producing invoice reminders and chasing overdue payments.
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable Team, ensuring everyone understands their role and is equipped to perform their financial responsibilities to deadline.
  • Delegate tasks to the administrative team.
As the Finance Team Supervisor, you will be working full time, with a working pattern of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on-site, with a flexible start and finish time. Our client is looking for candidates with experience rather than specific qualifications. They are seeking individuals who are proactive and capable of taking ownership of their tasks. In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum. Additionally, they provide two bonuses per year, one for January to June and another for July to December.
