The company operates multiple production facilities, manufacturing operations, and distribution channels, supported by a diverse house of brands.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Managing Director for Europe. This role involves leading the strategic and operational growth of our client’s European business, overseeing a high-performing team, and driving commercial excellence. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and Head of International.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy for sustainable growth in Europe
  • Create annual business plans aligned with overall goals
  • Lead and inspire a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
  • Ensure team members meet revenue goals, KPIs, and engage in sales initiatives
  • Build and develop effective sales and marketing teams
  • Oversee the development of geographic, channel, and customer-specific sales plans
  • Guide marketing strategies to enhance brand equity and relevance
  • Manage negotiations and relationships with wholesalers, partners, and customers
  • Ensure site-level operations focus on efficiency, cost-structure, quality, and compliance
  • Achieve production targets and manage cost targets, cash flow, and business goals
  • Develop and implement effective production strategies and KPIs
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
  • Ensure financial metrics are achieved and manage inventory and production costs
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities
  • Represent the company as a key opinion leader in the medical cannabis industry

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years in a senior-level role with P&L management experience
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with senior leaders
  • Comfortable with complex strategy discussions and ambiguity
  • Experience in achieving corporate objectives and managing risk
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German, Italian, or French is preferred
  • An undergraduate degree in marketing, administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is highly desired

Compensation + Benefits:

  • Up to €200,000 and €350,000 base depending on experience
