Are you a creative and experienced pastry chef with a passion for product development and team leadership? We are looking for a dynamic Head of Pastry and Development to join our team and take charge of our patisserie operations. In this role, you will be responsible for both the day-to-day management of the patisserie team and the development of innovative pastry products as outlined by our Directors. You will be hands-on in the kitchen, working in collaboration with the patisserie, shop, and office team to deliver this vision to the clients.
Product Development:
Collaborate with Directors to plan and price menus and food items for the year.
Head of Pastry:
Oversee the preparation and cooking within the pastry section of the kitchen.
Assist in ordering and obtaining supplies for the pastry section.
Set actions and targets, appraise, and manage team performance.
Coordinate food preparation and ensure quality management for the pastry kitchen.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints within agreed criteria.
Work in the kitchen with the team to deliver the products to the shop and wholesale clients.
Address customer complaints professionally and efficiently with the support of the Shop Manager.
Maintain high-quality standards and accurate records.
Conduct quality control of supplies, food, and kitchen hygiene.
Comply with sanitation, hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
Proven experience in a senior pastry chef role.
Strong background in product development and retail menu planning.
Proficiency in maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
