Jane Tomlinson’s Run for All is one of the UK’s biggest not-for-profit sporting event companies, staging a large number of high-profile mass participation events across the UK including the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, Yorkshire Marathon, Leeds, York & Sheffield 10Ks, Leeds Half Marathon and Sheffield Half Marathon.

With charity at the core of what we do, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about making a difference to people’s lives, delivering opportunities for participants to reach their fundraising or personal fitness goals.

The successful applicant will play an integral part in delivering exceptional events for a wide range of audiences, from promoting entries to assisting on event days. You will help to enhance the customer experience from the point of purchase to the event day itself.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be a lively, dynamic and creative professional with a desire to drive the business forward in a fast-paced environment.

You will possess excellent communication skills and be proficient across the full range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. You will also have excellent knowledge of social media platforms and be enthusiastic about creating engaging content.

Applicants should be personable, confident, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour. 

There will be a requirement to work a number of weekends and occasionally, out of hours, especially throughout the event season. In this varied role, candidates will be required to take on numerous manual tasks which may include heavy lifting, erecting marques and positioning course signage.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

· Activate aspects of the marketing plans for all events

· Develop and expand local event partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders

· Seek out and generate new contra-marketing partnership with relevant businesses and other bodies

· Work alongside the marketing teams of the events sponsors to deliver joint marketing activities and to deliver on sponsors requirements.

· Contribute creativity to marketing plans and campaigns, whilst remaining commercially aware

· Fulfil a number of administration duties. Eg Data management, event day plans 

· Produce detailed analysis and engaging reports of campaign activities to be shared with internal teams, and clients.

· Work closely with the Marketing Executive and PR & Marketing Assistant to support the company’s digital strategy across social channels and email marketing

· Be able to write copy in different tones of voice appropriate to the relevant audience

· Playing a key role in event delivery, assisting with the setup and derig of event infrastructure, and undertaking various event day roles across the season, such as customer service, content creation, branding manager and assisting with other event day logistics.

Experience and Background

· A self-starter who is passionate about marketing and eager to learn and gain experience within this field.

· A college/university background in marketing, or experience in a similar role, is desired but not essential.

· Comfortable creating copy and content

· Data-driven and data literate, analytical, and highly passionate.

· Strong communicator and team player

· A marketing mindset with a creative approach to problem solving and confident with expressing opinions and generating new ideas

· A love of sport in general and an energetic disposition

· Full clean driving licence would be useful

· Willing and able to work a certain number of weekends
