Our client, an International Shipping organisation are seeking a new Operator to join their team based in London.

Location: West London.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Tanker Operator to oversee the smooth operations of our owned and time-chartered vessels. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality service delivery to our customers by carefully managing all operational aspects of the assigned ships.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute voyages, including calculating fuel consumption, cargo intake, port rotations, and optimizing sea routes.

Prepare and issue voyage orders to the ships, coordinating with captains on cargo and bunker requirements.

Appoint agents, weather routing services, and arrange bunker supply at designated ports.

Monitor and provide regular updates on ships' estimated arrival/departure times to relevant parties.

Supervise the process of issuing freight invoices, paying/collecting hire, and calculating laytime and demurrage/dispatch.

Oversee payment of port disbursements and finalization of cargo documentation.

Monitor ship performance at sea and handle any performance claims from clients.

Input and maintain accurate data in the IMOS system.

Regularly review and analyze profit & loss calculations for each voyage.

Handle claims in coordination with the legal department and explain voyage profits & losses in detail.

Requirements:

- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in tanker operations.

- Strong leadership and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Proven track record in the shipping industry.

- Ability to work in a team, stay organized, and pay attention to details.

- Proficiency in English language.

- Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Right to work in the UK.
