Zodiac Maritime is a leading international ship operating company providing a comprehensive range of management services for a diverse fleet of commercial vessels. Our company is headquartered in London and has a growing presence in Europe and Asia.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the compliance of managed tanker and gas vessels with oil companies' vetting requirements.
- Work closely with Operations and Commercial teams to provide necessary questionnaires, updates, and documents for pre-fixture.
- Provide guidance and support to vessels for prospective PSC, Terminal, or 3rd party inspections.
- Assist in booking and executing SIRE/CDI inspection programs based on vessel itineraries.
- Liaise with vessels, agents, and inspecting companies to ensure planned 3rd party inspections are completed efficiently.
- Facilitate and monitor remote assessments of vessels for PSC and 3rd party inspections.
- Update and maintain inspection records and databases in line with TMSA.
- Assist in root cause analysis and closure of observations from 3rd party inspections.
- Maintain records to demonstrate effective closure of observations.
- Compile and maintain fleet vetting data within Oceanfile for generating reports and assessing trends.
- Monitor and track SIRE performance for each vessel and provide guidance to improve future performance.
- Circulate vetting broadcasts and safety bulletins to improve fleet vetting performance.
- Assist in reviewing industry-specific regulatory changes and proposing updates to QMS.
- Collect data and review vessel compliance with oil major requirements.
- Review and monitor tanker fleet performance on RightShip portal.
- Participate in inter-departmental and fleet review meetings.
- Ex-sea going Senior Officer/Engineer on Tankers with a minimum of 1 year's shore-based experience in a similar role.
- OR Shipping background with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- In-depth previous experience of carrying out shore-based day-to-day Vetting & Marine Assurance in Tanker Management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Oil Majors' vetting process and requirements and industry best practice.
- Commercial awareness and ability to apply sound commercial judgment.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong focus on delivering quality and meeting deadlines.
