Akrivia Health are looking for a capable and dynamic research professional who can utilise their skills and experience in support of an ambitious and innovative research programme. The objective of the research programme is to create a precision psychiatry bioresource enabling the development of novel treatment options and improved, biologically informed classification for the most challenging conditions in psychiatry. This research programme will build the foundations for the improvement of precision medicine targeting by augmenting patient medical records with valuable genomic, biomarker and digital data. The project is funded commercially and is being undertaken in collaboration with academic and commercial partners, as well as the NHS. This role will support a larger programme team brought together to develop the world-leading data asset and bioresource.
The role is 100% focused on this central project, however, fits into a larger ecosystem of the company whose primary purpose is to help to accelerate improvements in medical research, service delivery and health outcomes for patients with mental illnesses and dementia through the provision of advanced data analytics services and clinical trial optimisation support.
To facilitate the efficient setting up, monitoring, and closing down of sites supporting the project with recruitment.
To ensure that programme data are complete, accurate and verifiable from source as relevant.
To establish and maintain supportive working relationships with key programme contacts, including recruitment site contacts, and to support the development of communication channels, both physical and digital.
To become proficient in, and then provide professional advice and guidance on, the research programme recruitment and assessment processes and procedures to internal and external stakeholders, using judgement and creativity to troubleshoot challenges to study recruitment.
To develop and deliver training to study support staff at recruitment sites.
To develop and refine processes and standard operating procedures for study elements in the pursuit of delivering the project goals.
Liaise with operational partners and subcontractors involved with the project to achieve project goals.
Recording, maintaining and managing research records in conjunction with the study monitor and Project Manager(s).
Contribute to relevant meetings such as steering groups, programme boards, panels, project reviews, conferences, and workshops.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, completing all obligatory training and induction modules, including Cyber Security Essentials and Health & Safety.
Participate in the company’s professional development reviews and take a proactive approach to own professional development.
An excellent communicator who likes to take responsibility and collaborate with others to effectively coordinate project planning and delivery.
Able to use your initiative to work independently, but also as part of a team, and influence the progress and tracking of projects using strong organisational and communication skills.
Able to pay strict attention to detail to ensure projects are executed to the highest standard.
Experience working in the field of mental health or other health-related discipline/related field
Experience of recruiting NHS patients into research studies and liaising with NHS sites, care homes or third sector organisations to deliver recruitment.
Proven ability to work unsupervised to deadline, planning and setting priorities for own work and that of others and monitoring progress.
Experience within NHS health care settings would be advantageous
Postgraduate/professional qualification.
